"God blessed older generations with prosperity, but not people like me."
How it sounds in your head: My grandparents bought a house on one income with a high school diploma. Boomers had pensions. Those doors are closed now. The economy is different. I'm working harder than they did and getting less. Maybe God's blessing worked differently back then.
"For I am the LORD, I do not change; therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob."
-- Malachi 3:6Enemy lie that God's blessing is tied to economic eras rather than eternal covenant.
She sees the math—houses cost 8x what they did, wages haven't kept up, student debt didn't exist like this. It feels like she's playing a rigged game her grandparents never faced.
This woman left her land for seven years during famine (lost EVERYTHING—house, land, crops). When she returned, the king INSTANTLY restored ALL her property PLUS all the proceeds it would have earned during the seven years she was gone—RETROACTIVE blessing she didn't work for.
I REFUSE the lie that God's blessing worked for older generations but not mine. IT IS WRITTEN that God does NOT change—His blessing isn't tied to economies, eras, or interest rates. Isaac reaped a hundredfold in a FAMINE. The Shunammite woman got retroactive restoration of YEARS of lost income in one moment. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). The BARAK isn't affected by recessions, inflation, or student debt—it's COVENANT, not economic conditions. My generation doesn't have less access—we have the SAME unchanging God and the BETTER covenant established on BETTER promises (Hebrews 8:6).
The Father doesn't say, 'Sorry, you were born in the wrong decade.' He says, 'I'm the God of SUDDENLIES—watch me do in ONE MOMENT what should take decades in your economy.' He's already moving.
