"Financial struggle is in our DNA—we've been poor for five generations"
How it sounds in your head: Your great-great-grandfather was poor. Every generation since has been broke. You work hard but can't get ahead. It's not bad luck—it's a family curse of poverty you can't break.
"Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree'), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith."
-- Galatians 3:13-14Enemy using economic history to deny the Abrahamic blessing purchased by Christ's blood and covenant-based prosperity.
He's never seen wealth in his family tree and despite working harder than wealthy peers, remains stuck financially, making 'family curse' feel like the only explanation for systemic lack.
The widow was down to her LAST meal—one final handful of flour and drop of oil before she and her son would starve to death (a lifetime of poverty culminating in imminent death). Elijah asked her to feed him FIRST. She obeyed, and the flour and oil NEVER RAN OUT for three years—generational poverty broken INSTANTLY through one act of faith.
I REFUSE the lie that poverty is my family's DNA. IT IS WRITTEN: Galatians 3:13-14 declares Christ REDEEMED me from the curse of poverty and the BLESSING OF ABRAHAM is mine. The Barak that made Abraham RICHER when he lied, protected Isaac when he deceived, and prospered Jacob despite his manipulation is MINE through the BETTER covenant sealed in Christ's blood. IT IS WRITTEN: Deuteronomy 28:8 promises 'The Lord will command the BLESSING on your storehouses'—not based on five generations of lack but on ONE act at Calvary. I am Abraham's seed. The curse is BROKEN. I am BLESSED coming in and going out.
The Father isn't waiting for you to work harder to break the poverty cycle—He ALREADY broke it at the cross and is running toward you with the Barak blessing that made lying Abraham wealthy against all logic.
