"Financial blessing is for people who tithe and I'm too broke to start."
How it sounds in your head: I hear the sermons—'you can't out-give God,' 'test Me in this.' But I'm literally choosing between gas and groceries. How can I give what I don't have? Blessing is locked behind a paywall I can't afford.
"And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work."
-- 2 Corinthians 9:8Source: Religion that makes tithing a LAW to unlock blessing, putting provision behind performance instead of IN Christ already.
Malachi 3 gets quoted constantly with 'bring the WHOLE tithe' and she feels condemned because her whole tithe would mean overdraft. It sounds conditional and she doesn't meet the condition.
She gave two tiny coins—all she had to live on—and Jesus said she gave MORE than the rich people who gave large amounts. He didn't wait for her to 'afford' it. He honored the heart. Her giving didn't unlock blessing—it REVEALED she already trusted Him.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm too broke to access blessing. IT IS WRITTEN that God makes all GRACE abound toward me so I ALWAYS have ALL sufficiency in ALL things. Not 'after I tithe'—ALWAYS. I am redeemed from the CURSE of the law. IT IS WRITTEN in Galatians 3:29 that I'm Abraham's seed and heir according to PROMISE, not according to my giving record. The BARAK blessing isn't unlocked by my checkbook—it's mine because of Jesus's blood. I don't earn open windows. I HAVE open windows because I'm IN Christ. Provision flows from the CROSS, not from my math.
Father isn't holding your blessing hostage behind a 10% payment—He's the God who saw the widow's two coins and called it 'more than all.' He doesn't need your tithe to afford blessing you. The windows are ALREADY OPEN because of the cross.
