"Exhaustion means I'm doing something wrong spiritually; God is withholding energy."
How it sounds in your head: If I was really right with God, I'd have more energy. This exhaustion must mean I've sinned or fallen away. He's holding back strength until I figure out what I did wrong.
"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand."
-- Isaiah 41:10Religious punishment lie: God uses exhaustion as discipline, energy is earned through spiritual performance.
When you're physically drained, spiritual activities FEEL harder, and the enemy uses that physical state to accuse you of spiritual failure, creating a false guilt loop.
Peter DENIED Jesus three times with CURSES. When Jesus appeared, did He withhold restoration until Peter proved himself? No—Jesus made him breakfast, restored him FULLY, and gave him the BIGGEST assignment (feed my sheep) IMMEDIATELY.
I REFUSE the lie that God is withholding energy as punishment. IT IS WRITTEN that He strengthens me, helps me, upholds me with His righteous right hand—not MY righteous performance, HIS righteous hand. There is NO CONDEMNATION for those in Christ Jesus. My Father isn't testing me through exhaustion; He's RUNNING toward me like the Prodigal's father, ready to throw a party, not demand explanations. IT IS WRITTEN in Romans 5:8 that while I was still a sinner, Christ died for me—He didn't wait for me to get it right. He's not withholding NOW.
Your Father isn't standing with crossed arms waiting for you to spiritually perform your way back to energy. He's already poured out the Spirit of LIFE on you—you're just believing the enemy's accusation instead of His finished work.
