"Everyone else has breakthrough faith - I must be spiritually defective."
How it sounds in your head: Campus ministry friends are seeing miracles. Instagram is full of testimony after testimony. That girl in my dorm prayed once and got her answer. Meanwhile I'm over here praying the same prayers and getting silence. Something's broken in my spiritual DNA.
"There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus."
-- Galatians 3:28Source: Comparison culture amplified by social media, making everyone else's edited highlights look like your unedited reality failure.
You see everyone's victory posts but not their private struggles. The visible breakthrough count makes it look like you're the only one not connecting with God properly.
Mephibosheth was disabled, from a fallen family line, hiding in obscurity, with zero achievements or special qualifications. David sought him out and declared 'you shall eat at my table LIKE ONE OF THE KING'S SONS.' Not based on performance. Based on covenant. Mephibosheth got full royal access while contributing nothing.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm spiritually defective. IT IS WRITTEN that in Christ there is NO hierarchy - I am ONE with every believer who ever lived. I have the SAME righteousness as Paul, the SAME access as Peter, the SAME inheritance as the greatest revivalist. The BARAK blessing doesn't play favorites. IT IS WRITTEN that I am Abraham's seed and heir according to PROMISE - not according to spiritual performance grades. I eat at the King's table like Mephibosheth - not because I earned it, but because of COVENANT. I am the righteousness of God in Christ, and nothing is defective about my spiritual DNA.
The Father isn't running toward others while making you wait in line. He's the God who gave Mephibosheth - disabled and disqualified - a permanent seat at the royal table. Your access to Him is identical to every saint who ever lived, bought by the same blood, secured by the same covenant.
