"Even if God could fix it, I don't want to—I just want out."
How it sounds in your head: It's not that you don't believe God CAN heal the marriage. You just don't WANT Him to. You're done. The desire is GONE. You don't even want to want it anymore.
"For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure."
-- Philippians 2:13Enemy—making your will supreme over God's word, your desire the final authority instead of His nature.
You're being honest—you've checked out mentally and emotionally. The thought of reconciliation doesn't bring hope, it brings dread. You want NEW, not RESTORED.
RAN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION from God's call, got swallowed by a fish, vomited on shore. THEN God asked again—and Jonah went. God didn't wait for perfect willingness—He CREATED it.
I REFUSE the lie that my unwillingness is final. IT IS WRITTEN that God works in me both TO WILL and to do. He changes DESIRES, not just circumstances. IT IS WRITTEN that He puts His Spirit IN me and causes obedience. My righteousness isn't based on wanting the right things—it's GIFT. The BARAK blessing isn't dependent on my feelings. God is shifting my WILL right now as I speak. I receive supernatural DESIRE for covenant as GIFT.
Your Father isn't condemning your honesty about not wanting it—He's the God who CREATES wanting. He changed Jonah's direction, He'll change yours. He's not waiting for you to manufacture desire—He's GIVING it.
