"Divorce runs in my family. My parents divorced, my siblings divorced, my marriage is probably doomed too."
How it sounds in your head: Nobody in my family knows how to stay married. We hit the same walls, have the same fights, end up in the same place. I'm trying harder than they did, but the pattern is stronger than my effort.
"For the Lord God of Israel says that He hates divorce, for it covers one's garment with violence, says the Lord of hosts. Therefore take heed to your spirit, that you do not deal treacherously."

He's watched every marriage in his family fail and sees similar conflicts in his own. The fear is constant, every argument feels like proof, and statistics seem to confirm generational patterns.
From a cursed nation (Moab), married into a family under judgment (Elimelech's family died in Moab), widowed young. One decision of covenant loyalty BROKE every curse—she became great-grandmother to King David, in the Messianic line, a Gentile woman honored forever in Scripture.
I REFUSE the lie that my family's divorce history determines my marriage. IT IS WRITTEN: What God has joined together, NO MAN and no generational pattern can separate. I am a new creation—my family's failures are not my prophecy. IT IS WRITTEN: God HATES divorce, which means He is fighting FOR my marriage with resurrection power. The BARAK blessing covers my household—we are blessed coming in and going out. My marriage is under covenant protection stronger than any family curse. We will finish together, stronger than we started.
The Father is not watching your marriage with a stopwatch, waiting for the pattern to repeat. He's already decided your marriage succeeds, already released covenant power to protect it. He's celebrating your future anniversary before you've overcome the current conflict.
