"Diabetes runs in my family—I'm prediabetic and it's only getting worse as I age."
How it sounds in your head: My A1C keeps creeping up. My dad lost his foot to diabetes. I'm watching my numbers, restricting my diet, but feeling like I'm just delaying the inevitable. Every birthday brings me closer to medication, then insulin, then complications.
"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers."
-- 3 John 1:2World/Medical—accepting progressive disease as normal aging when Scripture declares the blessing includes health and strength even in old age.
Lab results show prediabetic markers, and every relative over 50 is on metformin. The medical model presents it as genetic inevitability, and her body is showing the same warning signs she saw in her parents.
At 85 years old, after watching his entire generation die in the wilderness, Caleb declared, 'I am as strong this day as on the day Moses sent me; my strength is now as my strength was then.' No decline, no age-related disease—supernatural health in old age because he believed God's promise.
I REFUSE the lie that diabetes is my genetic destiny or that aging means decline. IT IS WRITTEN that it is God's will that I prosper in all things and be in health—my blood sugar bows to the blood of Jesus. The BARAK blessing of Deuteronomy 28 declares I am blessed in my body, and no curse of ancestral disease has authority over covenant promises. My pancreas functions as God designed, my metabolism reflects Eden's original blueprint, and every cell responds to resurrection life flowing through me. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed coming in and going out—including blessed in my lab results, my energy levels, and my physical strength. I will be like Caleb at 85—STRONG, not declining.
The Father sees you already healed, already whole, already free from every hereditary pattern—not because you managed your diet perfectly, but because Jesus became the curse so you could inherit the blessing. He's celebrating your health NOW, not waiting for your A1C to prove it.
