"Dating leads to heartbreak, so it's safer to just never let anyone in."
How it sounds in your head: You've decided that protecting yourself means building walls and never being vulnerable. You tell yourself you don't care about relationships, but really you're just scared of getting hurt.
"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind."

She's witnessed or heard about relationships ending badly and has concluded that isolation is safer than trust. She's choosing a prison of safety instead of walking in protected freedom.
God told Hosea to love an unfaithful woman who would break his heart repeatedly. It looked like guaranteed pain. But through it, God displayed His relentless love and wrote a book of the Bible. What looked like foolish vulnerability became one of Scripture's greatest love stories.
I REFUSE the lie that walls are safer than trust, or that isolation protects me better than God does. IT IS WRITTEN that God has not given me a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind. I am not destined for heartbreak, I am not safer alone. IT IS WRITTEN in Psalm 34:18 that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted, which means even if pain comes, I am never alone in it. I am the BARAK-blessed daughter who walks in love without fear because my Father guides me. I will not let fear build my life.
Father is not asking you to be reckless—He's offering to be your wisdom and protection in every relationship. He's not standing back watching you navigate this alone; He's right there with you, making you sensitive to His voice and covering you with His presence.
