"Christian men don't pursue—I have to settle for passive or go outside the faith."
How it sounds in your head: You've watched men who say they're leaders sit back and wait for you to initiate everything. No pursuit, no clarity, no masculine energy. Meanwhile, men outside the church know how to ask you out, make plans, and actually pursue. Maybe the 'equally yoked' thing is overrated. Maybe you're supposed to be the initiator now.
"Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?"
-- 2 Corinthians 6:14Cultural confusion mixed with enemy division—suggesting God can't provide BOTH godly AND masculine.
Every Christian guy you've met needs you to 'make it clear you're interested first' or 'pray about it for six months.' They're passive, scared of rejection, hiding behind 'waiting on God' while secular men just ask you to dinner. The dating books say 'pursue his heart' and 'help him lead'—code for do the work yourself.
Boaz was a godly, wealthy, DECISIVE man who saw Ruth, praised her character, protected her immediately, and took action to marry her without hesitation. She didn't have to choose between godly and masculine—he was both. And God led her DIRECTLY to his field on day one.
I REFUSE the lie that I have to choose between a godly man and a man who actually pursues, or that I must compromise my faith to be chosen well. IT IS WRITTEN that I should not be unequally yoked—and God doesn't give commands without providing the means to obey. He has BOTH godly AND masculine for me. I will not settle for passive, and I will not compromise my faith. IT IS WRITTEN in Philippians 4:19 that God supplies ALL my needs according to His riches in glory—not according to the current dating pool's limitations. I stand in the barak blessing that brought Rebekah a strong AND godly Isaac, Ruth a decisive AND godly Boaz, and Esther a powerful king who chose her above all. My man will be both spiritual and strong.
The Father isn't choosing between godly and masculine for you—He has both in the man He's preparing. The passive ones aren't your portion; they're just not YOUR person. God isn't asking you to settle for weak or compromise for worldly. He's bringing you BOTH.
