"Building anything long-term is pointless because it's all going to burn anyway."
How it sounds in your head: Why work hard on projects, relationships, or skills if it's all temporary? Everything I build will just burn up when Jesus returns. Maybe I should just do the bare minimum since none of it really matters in the end. Long-term investments feel stupid.
"Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might, for there is no work or thought or knowledge or wisdom in Sheol, to which you are going."
-- Ecclesiastes 9:10Enemy using eternal perspective to abort earthly assignments - religion teaching that spiritual means anti-material.
He's heard 'you can't take it with you' and 'it's all going to burn' used to dismiss earthly excellence. The message that only 'spiritual' things matter makes building anything physical, relational, or financial feel unspiritual.
God filled Bezalel with His Spirit specifically to build physical, temporary things - the tabernacle, furniture, and tools that would only be used for a season. God cared so much about earthly excellence that He anointed an artist to make beautiful things that wouldn't last forever.
I REFUSE the lie that building is pointless because everything is temporary. IT IS WRITTEN that whatever my hand finds to do, I do it with all my MIGHT. I am filled with the Spirit like Bezalel to build with excellence, create with passion, and work with purpose. IT IS WRITTEN that the work of my hands establishes me and the favor of the Lord rests on what I make. The BARAK blessing means I am blessed in the work of my hands. I don't do the bare minimum; I do everything with maximum passion because faithfulness here trains me for rulership there. What I build matters because I matter. My work is worship.
Your Father isn't dismissing your projects as pointless - He's watching you like Bezalel crafting beauty in the wilderness, filling you with His Spirit to create with excellence. He's RUNNING toward you with the blueprints and the anointing.
