"Because I consulted psychics and mediums, I'm more vulnerable to demonic attack than others."
How it sounds in your head: I went to a psychic with friends and now I feel like I'm a bigger target for the enemy than other Christians. I think my past made me permanently more susceptible to spiritual warfare. I'll always be fighting harder than people with 'clean' pasts.
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."
-- 2 Corinthians 5:17Enemy: Accuser creating a two-tier Christianity where some are 'more protected' based on past, denying equal standing in Christ for all believers.
She experiences spiritual attack and has been taught occult exposure creates 'open doors.' She compares herself to Christian friends who seem to have easier spiritual lives and concludes her past made her second-class. She doesn't yet grasp that righteousness is GIFT, not earned by clean history.
Paul didn't just dabble - he MURDERED Christians, was 'extremely zealous' for demonic religion, tried to DESTROY the church. Jesus appeared to him, and within DAYS he was preaching with apostolic authority - no probation period, no 'vulnerable season,' immediate full standing.
I REFUSE the lie that my occult past makes me more vulnerable than other believers. IT IS WRITTEN that I am a NEW creation - old things PASSED AWAY. IT IS WRITTEN that I am the righteousness of God in Christ, not by my history but by HIS BLOOD. I don't have less protection because of my past. I have the FULL armor of God. I am not a target because I consulted psychics - I am UNTOUCHABLE because I'm in Christ. No weapon formed against me shall prosper. I am not second-class. I am joint-heir with Jesus. SAME protection. SAME authority. SAME standing.
The Father doesn't have tiers of protection based on how 'clean' your past was. He has ONE level - COMPLETE, based on Jesus' blood. You're not fighting with a handicap. You're fighting from VICTORY, just like every other believer, because the battle was won at the cross.
