"At my age with multiple conditions, I'm just a burden to my family—this is who I've become."
How it sounds in your head: You need help now with things you used to do easily. Your adult children worry about you. You see the concern in their eyes, the whispered conversations about 'Mom's health.' You feel like you've gone from the caretaker to the one needing care, and it's humiliating. This dependent, sick person feels like your new identity.
"And He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."

You genuinely need more help than you used to. Your health issues ARE affecting your family's schedules and finances. You remember being the strong one, and now you feel weak, and that shift feels like a fundamental change in who you are.
Crippled in both feet, hiding in fear, seeing himself as a 'dead dog' with nothing to offer. King David brought him to the palace and said 'you shall eat at MY table continually'—not because of what Mephibosheth could DO, but because of covenant with his father Jonathan. Position at the table had NOTHING to do with his physical condition.
I REFUSE the lie that my health conditions make me a burden or define my identity. IT IS WRITTEN that God's strength is made PERFECT in my weakness—I am not weak, I am a CONDUIT for His power. My worth is NOT in what I can do but in WHOSE I am—beloved daughter of the King. IT IS WRITTEN in Zephaniah 3:17 that He rejoices over me with SINGING, not disappointment, not frustration, but JOY. Like Mephibosheth, I eat at the King's table by COVENANT, not by ability. The BARAK blessing doesn't decrease with age—it INCREASES. I am not a burden; I am BLESSED and a blessing.
The Father sees you struggling toward Him with your walker and pill organizer, ashamed of needing help, and He RUNS to you—not with disappointment but with a permanent seat at His table, declaring that you belong there not because of what you can offer but because of WHO YOU ARE TO HIM. Your weakness is His invitation to show off His strength.
