"After all these years of service, I still haven't done enough to deserve God's full blessing."
How it sounds in your head: You've been a deacon for thirty years, tithed faithfully, served on every committee. Why doesn't it feel like enough? Other men seem more blessed. Maybe you missed something God required.
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ."
-- Ephesians 1:3Religion taught that decades of service earn favor, making grace into wages.
A lifetime of church participation conditions you to see blessing as compensation for service rendered. When others prosper faster despite less "tenure," it feels like God's payroll department miscalculated your rewards.
He had zero years of service, zero good works, zero church attendance, dying for his crimes. Jesus said "TODAY you will be with Me in Paradise" - full access, instant salvation, no probation period.
I REFUSE the lie that decades of service create a debt God must pay. IT IS WRITTEN that I was blessed with EVERY blessing the moment I entered Christ. I am not an employee earning wages - I am a SON who inherited everything the day I came home. My Father isn't totaling my years to calculate my worth. IT IS WRITTEN that Christ redeemed me from the curse and the BLESSING OF ABRAHAM rests on me by COVENANT, not by service record. I declare the BARAK flows through my life because of HIS faithfulness, not my tenure.
The Father isn't reviewing your decades of service to determine your blessing level. He's been throwing you a party since the day you came to Him, and He's frustrated you keep going to the servants' quarters instead of the banquet table already set with your name on it.
